Eight Cuts is a unique blade technique in Wing Chun. The name “Baat Jaam Do” refers to the system of techniques, not the blades themselves. The knives, known as “Hap Jarm Do” (Joined Palms Knives), consist of two identical blades. When placed apart and crossed flat, they resemble the shape of a butterfly, which is why they are also commonly called “Butterfly Knives.”
